Gratitude

Hello Readers!

My apologies for being tardy with this week’s posting. Life events took over my time for a while. This will be the last posting on The Road to a Dream for 2014. With Christmas right around the corner, I’m sure you’ll understand, right?
What do we usually think about at this time of year? Family and Friends. Our blessings. What we’re thankful for.

I would like to dwell on GRATITUDE. With a New Year looming round the bend, most people look back on the year and count their blessings and then make their New Year’s Resolutions.
First and foremost, I am grateful for having two of the most wonderful sons a mother could ever wish for. Yes, I may be biased, but who cares? *grin* Without my two kids, I would be struggling to get through this difficult time. They are my shining beacons at the end of a long, pain-filled tunnel.

To my friends and family, thank you for all the encouragement you have given me this year. Your faith in my abilities has allowed me to stretch beyond what I thought I could do, and given me the confidence to reach for that elusive dream.

Next, I am so very grateful to all the fans of the Intergalactic Matchmaking Services series. Your kind reviews, blog comments and emails have been very uplifting. I appreciate each and every one of you for caring about the characters and world I build in my stories. Your encouragement has given me the confidence to deal with my current situation without the fear of “what now?” Your kindness lets me know that there are better times ahead and that my journey into writing hasn’t been a fluke—that with work and persistence, it can be the career I want it to be.
I’m reopening the doors on my editing business, which I closed earlier this year so I could focus on my writing. Now I need to rebuild that business in addition to my writing. If you know of anyone that needs a proofreader and/or a copy editor, send them my way! My website for the editing business is www.SLCEditing.com, and the email is SLCEditing@gmx.com.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I hope your holidays are filled with much love and laughter.
Until next time, in the New Year…be kind to each other…and to yourselves!
